One of the best perks of being an annual passholder are the passholder previews! When a new ride or land is opening you get a special window where only passholders get to experience the new magic. The system has changed since our first passholder preview on Tron. We have TWO previews coming up next week for not so new but revamped rides here in Disney World and we can’t wait! Disney knows how to keep us on the hook for sure!
Soarin Across America Passholder Previews
We all know and love Soarin’ in EPCOT’s Land Pavilion but she’s getting a new itinerary this year! As part of America’s 250th anniversary Soarin’ will be going across America. This new trip opens on May 26th but before then, passholders get a chance to fly from sea to shining sea first! Annual Passholder previews will be on May 19th and 20th and you just need a park reservation. There will not be any special reservation windows here, just join the regular standby line while you are in EPCOT. Not sure how I feel about this not getting a virtual queue so you have a designated time slot, but they are weekdays so maybe it won’t be too crazy. Also, I am guessing they are thinking the hype behind this one isn”t as large as some others, but the could be wrong. We’ll see next week!
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets Passholder Previews
This is the big one next week folks!! While we have been mourning the loss of Muppets Courtyard and Muppet Vision 3D, they have been taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Hollywood Studios! If you have been to the park recently you may have noticed that the upside down limo and the giant electric guitar have a new paint job. This is only the tip of this iceberg and we finally get to see the rest for passholder previews May 21st – 23rd! The ride officially open on May 26th but getting to ride a little early is so exciting! This review will have a virtual queue and here’s how that will work:
- Passholders must have a park reservation for Hollywood Studios
- 7am – Virtual Queue will open to Passholders with a Hollywood Studios park reservation
- 11am – Virtual Queue will open to Passholders with ANY park reservation
- 3pm – Virtual Queue will open to Any Passholder with valid admission
A couple of details to note, you do not have to be in the park to join any of these virtual queues and you get free photo downloads during passholder previews! I have photopass on my AP but I love that they are offering that! I can’t wait to see what the pictures look like. No doubt this is going to be a busy one so for your best chance make sure you have those park reservations and can try for all three virtual queues in your My Disney Experience app.
Conclusion
Next week is going to be an exciting week for passholders here in Walt Disney World! VIPassholder Days are happening now as well so there are all kinds of fun things to see and do in the parks. I am really hoping they did right by the Muppets and that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is fantastic! The set list of songs is awesome. Not that I am not excited for Soarin’ Across America. I am but that could never beat out the Muppets for me!
Passholder previews remind me not to take for granted that we get to live so close to the magic. I remember hearing about previews before we moved or even were annual passholders and wishing I could do that. We watched all the YouTube videos we could find of the previews and plotted our escape! Hahaha! Now when these come around it’s a reminder to not take this life for granted. If you are a passholder, I hope you get to come enjoy these previews! Maybe I will see you there!
