Disneyland Paris has seven official resorts, all different styles and feels. I got to stay at Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel and it was amazing! The look and feel is a NYC high rise but with an Avengers twist. It is truly like and art gallery you can book a room in. There are a ton of amenities and the proximity to the parks is fantastic! I am so excited to take you along to check out this incredible hotel!

Checking In
Just like here in Disney World, Disneyland Paris has an app where you can manage everything needed for your visit. My room reservation was already linked in the app so I did the online check in. I arrived around 8:30am. So far too soon to get into a room but they stored my luggage and that was very quick and easy. Because I was staying there I had early entry into the parks that started at 8:30am.

Walking up to Hotel New York; The Art of Marvel was very cool. The front has a courtyard that gives you a Central Park kind of feel and there is a massive Iron Man statue out front. The hotel faces Lake Disney and you can see the Newport Bay Club resort and Sequoia Lodge. I didn’t explore too much because I wanted to get into the park while I still had some early entry time left! So off I went!

Superior Room
After my early dinner reservation I decided to go back to the hotel for just a bit. I had been notified in the app that my room was ready around 3pm and at this point it was about 5:30. I knew I was coming back for fireworks and making a late night of it so I went to rest a little. A quick stop at the front desk just to double check where my room was and to give them my luggage tag to have my stuff brought up and I was. ready to relax.

One big difference between Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel and really all the Disneyland Paris resorts that I saw and the resorts here is that they are much for condensed. There are not totally separate, very far off buildings where your room could be. For the most part there is one building and all the rooms are in there.

I used my digital key to unlock my room and honestly it was pretty cool! Very fancy and very super hero! When I got in I realized my bags were already neatly in my room, out of the way when I walked in. Amazing! There are three tiers of rooms at Hotel New York. Superior or the standard room, Empire State Club rooms which is like Club Level and then the Art of Marvel suites. I just had the standard or superior room and it was fabulous!

Room Tour
The bathroom had the water closet, nice big sink/counter and a gorgeous walk in shower. It was on the right as I came into the room, with my luggage stored on the left. In the room was a super comfy king size bed with a fold out sofa bed next to that. It was very spacious, I felt like I had so much room! The room had a Lavazza machine with a decent selection of coffee, tea and espresso, an electric kettle and two bottles of water. Of course that came with glasses and coasters and paper cups which never stood a chance of being left behind. I am notorious for taking everything that isn’t nailed down from a Disney Resort! Hahaha! Might be some kind of disorder but either way, my bags are always fuller when I leave!

The TV had the welcome message we see here too and there was a nice Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel folder with information about the Lavazza machine, ordering room service, the hotel scavenger hunt called Discovery Quest and a really cool postcard. There was also a Hotel New York notepad and really nice pen by the bed. Spoiler, all of this came home with me too! What am I going to do with it all…no idea but it’s here! I had a large Spiderman painting and two small paintings featuring Iron Man and the Hulk. Overall the design of the room was very on brand for the NYC vibe and had a lot of great Marvel touches. I was super impressed with how comfy the bed was and how spacious the room was!

Hotel Amenities
Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel has a ton of things to do and see, I wish I had had more time to explore and experience everything. But I did take a little time after my rest to check some things out before heading back into the park for fireworks.

Marvel Design Studio
Think of this as like the kids club. Kids can go in here and learn to draw their favorite super heroes, do some arts and crafts and play with Marvel toys. They can even play Marvel themed games on tablets and read comics! It was just me so I only popped in for a second to look around and grabbed my boys a coloring sheet. This is a very nice space and I can imagine a kid loving this!

Metro Pool & Health Club
There are technically three pools at Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel. Although they are all in the same place. The Metro Pool & Health Club houses an indoor pool that is heated and connects to an outdoor pool. There is also a kids pool area called a paddling pool. The indoor and outdoors pools are connected and while I was there the doors were all open and you could swim from the inside to the outside. But the outdoor pool is seasonal and will close in the colder months. You will also find a whirlpool, sauna, steam room, fitness room and changing areas. This is also where you go for any first said needs. I needed a bandaid for the top of my foot and this is where they had them for me!

Hero Training Zone
There is a huge area outside the Metro Pool called the Hero Training Zone! This is just for your own enjoyment, no planned activities. You will find a NY style basketball court, workout equipment, yoga area and just free space for kids to run around. There is of course Marvel and Avengers branding everywhere.

Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel Restaurants
There are two restaurants in Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel. The Manhattan Restaurant is an upscale Italian restaurant with a Manhattan and Asgard theme. Sadly, I did not get the chance to check this one out but it’s on my list for next time! I did get to check out the Downtown Restaurant which is an all you can eat buffet. This one is inspired by the different boroughs of New York and serves American and Italian food. There is even a live chef preparing food for you behind the buffet.

I only had breakfast here as part of my half board meal plan. The breakfast was very good and there was a great selection of food. There were eve gluten and dairy free options as well as vegan options. Pretty much anything you could think of for breakfast was available and very tasty! And yes I took some placemats and napkins home! Because I am weird and everything is a souvenir!

Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel Bars
There are two bars/lounges in the Hotel New York; The Art of Marvel. The Bleaker Street Lounge is meant to look like a NYC loft and serves drinks, including some Marvel themed cocktails. The Skyline Bar is kind of the main attraction here! It’s super elevated with “windows” showing a panoramic view of the NYC skyline and Avengers tower. You might see Iron Man or Spiderman come by the window too! You can get drinks and small bites in the Skyline Bar in a super cool atmosphere!

Super Hero Station
This is honestly one of the coolest things I think I have seen at a Disney Resort! The Super Hero Station is where you can meet a Marvel character and be part of some pretty spectacular photo ops. You can pose like Spiderman and look like you’re upside down, step into Iron Man’s boots, put on Captain America’s wings and shield and float like Captain Marvel! You can reserve a time to go in here and get professional photos but I just randomly walked in and it was not super busy. My kids would have loved this!

Art Gallery
All of Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel is really a big art gallery! In the lobby, elevators, restaurants, rooms and all the hallways you see beautiful, Marvel inspired artwork. All different styles and all the characters you love. You can also explore the Jack Kirby Legacy Gallery. This is a dedicated gallery showcasing the legendary work of Jack Kirby. He was a Marvel comic book artist that created some of the most iconic Marvel art! The gallery has 21 of his comic book covers as well as a temporary art exhibit. On top of all that you can see Iron Man suits and Captain America shields displayed in the lobby!

Gift Shop
There is only one gift shop in Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel. The New York boutique is located in the lobby and offers all kinds of Marvel clothing, toys, collectibles and artwork. They also have Hotel New York themed merchandise as well as the general Disneyland Paris and Adventure World items. It kind of looks like Tony Stark’s Wall of Amor and has some pretty cool Marvel collectibles available for purchase.

Proximity to the Parks
Hotel New York is just outside of Disney Village and a short walk to the parks. There is a security screening area as you enter Disney Village so when you get to the park gates you can just tap your ticket and enter. It was about a 8-10 minute walk to both parks and you go through Disney Village and passed the train station. I loved that I could just walk to the parks and didn’t have to wait for any transportation, it was super convenient.

Conclusion
Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel was spectacular! Some other things to note are that the hotel offers luggage service to and from the airport if your flight times allow for it and there is a free shuttle to and from the airport. I had planned to take the shuttle to the airport so I could tell you how that experience was. Unfortunately for me my phone didn’t charge and it died overnight so my alarm did not go off and I missed the shuttle! It was a stressful morning! Another thing I didn’t know about until after I left was that there was a TV in my bathroom mirror! WHAT? I could have felt like Tony Stark in my bathroom and had no idea!

Although everything can be done digitally, I highly recommend going to the front desk and getting a physical Magic Pass card. They print your name and package details on it and it has a cool Hotel New York design so it’s a cool keepsake. I had a wonderful stay here and would totally stay here again. It was so comfortable and elegant, I highly recommend! If you are headed to Disneyland Paris, give Hotel New York a look, it is totally worth it! Have a magical super hero day!
