Disney Adventure World is the second park at Disneyland Paris. Kind of a mix between Disney’s California Adventure and Hollywood Studios, if you will. From Avengers to Frozen and Toy Story to Cars, it is a super fun park! While it has its similarities to other Disney Parks, it is very unique as well. Let’s continue our Paris adventure and explore Disney Adventure World!

Early Entry
A perk Disneyland Paris still has is that Disney Resort guests get early entry into the parks. Since I was staying at Hotel New York I could get into Disney Adventure World an early! While I did my research on what to try and do during my extra hour, I also just wanted to kind of go with the flow a little. The entrance to this park on the outside is not as impressive as Disneyland Paris but does give really strong Hollywood Studios vibes. But once you enter it is definitely it’s own park!

You come through a courtyard and then enter the actual park through Disney World Premier. This made me very nostalgic for The Great Movie Ride that we used to have in Hollywood Studios! All the neon lights and just something about the signage. World Premier has shops and quick service food locations. You walk through here to get into the park which was very different from any other Disney park I have been to. But it was very cool and the food smelled good!

Here We Go!
Once you come out of World Premier you can go straight, right or left depending on what you want to do first. I didn’t feel like this park had the traditional, central hub or as Walt called it “wiener” that draws people to that spot. Like the hub in front of the castles, Chinese theater in Hollywood Studios or Spaceship Earth in EPCOT. I guess World Premier is kind of that spot but definitely not the same. Honestly, I took my time this morning. I could tell everyone was rushing to World of Frozen so I figured I would go knock that out too. But I kind of meandered to get there and stopped and enjoyed the views and took all the pictures.

World of Frozen
On the way to World of Frozen I passed where the new UP section is under construction and where the new Lion King ride is being built. This looks incredible and I so hope I get to go back to ride this once it’s open! The line for the ride was already so long by the time I got into World of Frozen so I had decided I would skip the ride and just explore the land. It is beautiful! If you have a Frozen fan in your life this is a must see! You can see Elsa’s ice castle off in the distance, meet Anna and Elsa in their castle and there are all kinds of shops themed to Frozen. The details here are really top notch!

I was ok with skipping the ride because I knew it wasn’t that different from the one we have in EPCOT. But then I noticed there was a single rider line and only one person waiting so why not? I am glad I did it! It was just enough different and I had not been on ours since they updated the animatronics so it was cool to see them here. I took a ton more pictures before heading out of World of Frozen, I can see why it’s one of the most popular parts of Disney Adventure World.

Cars & Toy Story!
While there isn’t a dedicated Cars land really, there are some really cool things in Disney Adventure World. There is kind of a condensed version of Radiator Springs with Flo’s V8 Cafe, Ramone’s, Luigi’s and Tow Mater’s shop. But it is nothing like Disney California Adventure, more like photo ops but very cute! I walked through this area and hopped on Cars Quatre Roues Rallye which is similar to Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree but smaller. There is also a ride called Cars Road Trip but it was not open for early entry so I had to come back for that later. But it was worth it! I loved it!

You get on a big tram and are led by Sally and Cruz Ramirez on a road trip down Route 66. You see all kinds of roadside attractions like the largest lug nut and Mater’s iFuel Tower which was so cute. But the best part is you go into Carstastrophe Canyon. If you remember the Backlot Tour in what was then MGM Studios, you may remember Catastrophe Canyon where you watched an oil tanker blow up and had the massive wave of water come over you. Well that’s what this is just with a Cars twist! It was awesome and made me miss the Backlot Tour so much!

Toy Story Playland
I wandered into the Toy Story Playland section as well in Worlds of Pixar . It is very small compared to Hollywood Studio’s. They have a Slinky Dog ride but it is just a small ride that goes in a circle. But they do have RC Racer which is where you get in RC from Toy Story and go up and down a huge orange halfpipe. They also have Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop which is like Jumpin’ Jellyfish in Disney California Adventure. It is a very cute area but I do have to give this one to Hollywood Studios, our Toy Story Land is incredible!

Avengers Campus
Web Slingers
After exploring Worlds of Pixar I came over to Avengers Campus. I love this area in Disney California Adventure so I was really excited to see what was different here. It was just now getting to the end of my early entry hour so the crowds would be coming soon! I jumped on Web Slingers with only a 15 minute wait, figured that would be much longer later. This is the exact same ride as the one in California but always fun to hear Spiderman in French! Plus, we don’t have this ride in Florida so I will take any opportunity to ride it.

Avengers Assemble Flight Force
I thought for sure when I cam out of this ride Avengers Campus would be super crowded since the park had opened and it towards the front of the park. But nope! Everyone goes straight to World of Frozen! It was weird to see avengers Campus so empty when the only way I have experienced it is with all the crowds in California. Avengers Assemble Flight Force was at a 10 minute wait so off I went!

This queue is incredible! I know I keep saying this but I really loved hearing Iron Man speak French! The queue had so many interesting things to look at. Then you get to a room where there is a huge screen where Iron Man is going over mission briefings and updates with other Avengers like Ant Man and Captain Marvel. The pre-show is a life size Iron Man animatronic giving you your instructions with captain Marvel on the screen next to him. Very cool!!

From here you go into the loading area and it gives Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster vibes. This ride was AWESOME! It was my absolute favorite in Disney Adventure World and I cam back and rode it a second time later in the day! Zero to 60 in 2.8 seconds on the launch, two roll over inversions and one cork screw, it was intense! Think a longer, more intense Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster!

Avengers Campus Entertainment
After Flight Force I walked up on the Wakandan Dora Milaje. I have seen them in California Adventure but it’s usually so crowded that unless you got lucky and came at the right time you can’t really get a good spot to watch. But in Disney Adventure World it was easy and I walked right up on the perfect spot! I watched their whole show, it was fantastic! I continued to explore Avengers campus for a bit and of course, took more pictures before moving on.

Tower of Terror
One of my favorite ride in Disney World is Tower of Terror so I had to ride it in Disney Adventure World! I knew it was slightly different so I was excited to see how they compared. I will say that Hollywood Studios has a much better queue line. They are similar but the way ours is laid out makes it much more grand and spooky. As far as the ride goes, Disney Adventure Worlds Tower of terror does not leave the elevator shaft like ours does but it drops you a million times!

They also really play up the little girl in the hologram and give the storyline a little darker tone. She comes back throughout the ride to warn you to be quiet or “they” will hear you. Implying there is some dark entity that’s after you. She is creepy and I love her! Haha! Adding her to our Tower of Terror is the only change I will approve…..do you hear that Disney?!

Rapunzel’s Tangled Spin
Next I had to go see a girl about a boat ride through a lantern festival! I was so excited for an actual Rapunzel ride! She deserves so much more than pretty bathrooms. This ride in and of itself is not super exciting but it is very well done and so pretty. It is kind of the equivalent of the Tea Cups but you are in a little boat and the lantern are hanging overhead. The best part for me honestly, was that the Kingdom Dance was playing while I was on the ride. So fun!

Regal View Lounge
I was a little hungry at this point, it was about 1pm so time for a snack! I had another big dinner reservation at 6pm so I didn’t want a full lunch. The Regal View restaurant is a Princess character dining experience but there is a lounge attached to the restaurant that does not require a reservation! This is a new dining location and the lounge is the first bar to open in Disneyland Paris! This just opened in March so I was shocked I could just walk in and find a seat.

The lounge is gorgeous! It is nothing short of regal, that is for sure! Every seat, fixture and table is extremely elegant and elevated. The view is spectacular too! You are overlooking Adventure Bay into World of Frozen, so a great view of Arendelle and the Frozen castle. Behind the bar is a stunning Sleeping Beauty mural and around the lounge are paintings of landscapes from other Disney princess movies.

I decided to get a fancy cocktail and dessert here. I ordered the Eclat Royal or the Pincely Eden. This was made with white rum, pear and passionfruit nectar, kombucha, sparkling sugar and a green apple touch and served with a fruit jelly. It was deliciously refreshing! Not too sweet and just strong enough for a mid day cocktail and of course super picture worthy. I also ordered the Summer Ecrin dessert. This is a caramelized puff pastry with marscapone cream, mango, aloe vera and pomegranate seeds. They change these seasonally and it was very good. A little rich, sweet and tangy! It went well with my drink and was a great fancy treat! If you can’t get a reservation at the restaurant, I highly recommend going to the lounge!

Mickey and the Magician
After my little snack break I actually went back to ride Cars Road Trip since it wasn’t open for early entry. But then I went to watch Mickey and the Magician! I had heard a lot about this show so I was very excited to see this. It did not disappoint, it was spectacular! It’s a 30 minute stage show that features Mickey as a magicians assistant tasked with cleaning the workshop before practicing his magic. But of course Mickey gets into a little trouble when he lets the magic hat talk him into some spells. Characters make appearances, sets magically change and move, live singers and dancers, it was fantastic! I might have videoed the whole thing! Haha! It was cute, heartwarming and magical. Everything you want from a Disney show!

Disneyland & Hotel Break
There was some unfinished business in Disneyland park so I hopped over there for a bit! I needed to have my champagne on Main Street and had to grab the cute French Mickey popcorn bucket. I had seen online that you can ask for the cork from the bottle of champagne so I did that too. The souvenir champagne flute, cork and the popcorn bucket are my favorite things I brought back with me from Disneyland Paris! I did a little window shopping and went into the bookstore on Main Street. This was the cutest store! So many amazing books but also just adorable in general. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and the gang are all hanging out at the top reading or looking for books! Just very whimsical and I loved it!

I was pretty exhausted and decided to go back to the hotel for a quick rest. If you know me, you know that this is very our of character for me. I am usually go go go and never want to take a break. But I had been going and going for a week before I got to Disneyland Paris and had never really given myself much time for resting. I felt like I was doing good on time and getting all the things checked off my list so I let myself go and rest for a bit. I don’t nap so the fact that I sat down and literally passed right out for an hour tells you all you need to know!

Back to Disney Adventure World
All rested up and ready to get back at it I headed back to Disney Adventure World! I had to go ride Avengers Assemble Flight Force again before my dinner reservation. It was just as great as the first time! I did some shopping and exploring before heading to dinner and just enjoyed the park.

Bistrot Chez Remy
I had a 6pm reservation at Bistro Chez Remy! If you couldn’t guess, this is a Ratatouille themed restaurant. The theming here is fantastic!! Think about the final scene of the ride or movie when all of Remi’s family and friends are at his restaurant. All the furnishings and props are giant since you are supposed to be the size of a rat. It was just adorable! Some of the tables even have umbrellas that look like Martin umbrellas. I was seated towards the back of the restaurant along the windows that look into the unloading area of the Ratatouille Adventure ride. It was funny to see people peering in the windows at the restaurant. From the outside it doesn’t look like much but inside it is amazing.

Emile’s Menu
I used my half board meal credit for this meal so that meant I got the three courses. At Bistro Chez Remy this was the Emile menu that included a starter, main course and dessert. There was also a bread service of cut baguette with The menu gives you options for each course so you are not limited to just one or two options. I decided to go with a nice glass of white wine here instead of a cocktail. It just felt like the right choice!
Starters
The options for the starter were:
- Mixed Green Seasonal Salad
- Seasonal Soup
- Duck Puffet
- Lentil Salad
I had the Seasonal Soup and it was so good. I think it was like a split pea with a little round of cheese. Rich, creamy and so tasty!

Main Course
For my main course the selections were:
- Grilled Steak with Potatoes, choice of three sauces: Café de Paris sauce, green peppercorns, brie or béarnaise
- Roast Cod with Crushed Potatoes
- Vegetable blanquette with sliced soy and pea protein
- Roasted chicken supreme, baby potatoes, mushrooms and mushroom-flavoured sauce
I chose the Grilled Steak with the Cafe de Paris sauce. SO GOOD! Again, I am not a huge steak eater but this was absolutely delicious. The sauce was recommended as the best one from my server and it did not let me down. So rich, buttery and salty!

Dessert
For dessert I was torn. There is a pretty viral piece of cheesecake that looks like a piece of cheese that I almost got. But I wanted to get something because it was going to be good, not just photo worthy. And my server very clearly advised against the cheesecake. Not because it is bad but because there was something even better! My choices were:
- Brie de Meaux Cheese, raisins, soft apricots
- Chocolate mousse
- Fruit salad
- Lemon meringue tart
- Fromage blanc-raspberry entremet(
- Gusteau’s dessert
I went with my servers suggestion and got the Guesteau’s dessert! This was a puff pastry with a creamy, tart filing and berry sauce with a little white chocolate Gusteau on the top. I am glad I got this instead of just a cute piece of cheesecake. I am sure that would have been delicious too but LOVED this. It was really light and not overwhelming with the sweetness. And the presentation was fantastic!

After dinner I had some time before I wanted to find a spot for the nighttime show in Disney Adventure World. I had really done everything I had on my list in Disney Adventure World. So I figured I had enough time to squeeze in another ride on Phantom Manor! I may or may not be obsessed! After Phantom Manor I walked through some areas in Disneyland Paris I had not adventured to yet and just took it all in before heading back to Disney Adventure World.

Disney Cascade of Lights
Disney Adventure World has. nighttime show called Disney Cascade of Lights. This show includes fireworks, water fountains, projections and drones in and over Adventure Bay. It is meant to be viewed from all sides of the bay so you can find lots of places to stand even if you are pushing it on time like I was.

The theme of the show is finding your inner hero and the hero’s journey. It includes everything from Mulled and Hercules to Avengers and Zootopia. The drones were incredible!Honestly the whole show was amazing but the drones especially were fantastic. I wish we would incorporate some drones here in Walt Disney World! We had a drone show one summer at Disney Springs that was pretty cool but then we haven’t had anything like that since then.

Saying Goodnight
My time in Disneyland Paris and Disney Adventure World had come to an end. I had to be on the early morning shuttle to the airport and the parks were officially closed so time to say goodnight. Before heading back to the hotel I walked over to the entrance to Disneyland Paris. The fireworks were still going on so it had not gotten crowded out there yet. This park entrance is so beautiful at night! The lighting, the fountains and the music really make it special. There may be way too many pictures of this park entrance in my camera roll but man is she majestic

I took my pictures and headed towards Disney Village to get to the hotel. Did a little window shopping and decided to do some exploring at the hotel. I won’t go into too much on that because I am going to do a whole post about the hotel. I knew I needed to get my stuff packed and situated for tomorrow but really wanted to just keep going. But I made myself go to my room and get ready for my early morning and long day of travel.

Conclusion
Disney Adventure World was incredible! It really does have a mixture of Hollywood Studios and California Adventure but at the same time is very unique. Mickey and the Magician and Flight Force were definitely my favorites in this park. I fell like one of the things I loved most about Disneyland Paris in general, both parks, was that it didn’t feel rushed. Even though I only had two days in the parks, I was able to do everything I wanted to do and then some. It reminded me of going to Disney World when I was a kid. I am sure it felt different for my parents but I just felt like we were never in a rush or worried about what we might miss. Disney Adventure World and Disneyland Paris gave me that same feeling of calm, magical fun!

Chaotic Morning
What was not calm, magical or fun was my morning on the day I left. My phone decided not to charge and died in the. middle of the night so my alarm didn’t go off! I woke up about 10 minutes AFTER the Disney airport shuttle left. So that meant I had to book an Uber. I really wanted to see what the Disney shuttle was like since we don’t have our Magical Express anymore here. Plus I was frantically worried I wouldn’t ge to the airport in enough time. I also booked my Uber for the airport hotel I stayed at the first night I was there instead of the actual airport and had to handle that as well. very stressful, do not recommend having your phone die and missing your shuttle!

Overall, I had the most wonderful time at these two parks. They are beyond gorgeous! There is just enough familiarity and just enough difference to make it so exciting. I love the walkability of everything and how chill everything is. I highly recommend a trip to Disneyland Paris and Disney Adventure World and can’t wait to share more with you! Thank you for reading along on my adventure and have a magical day!
