There are so many amazing things coming up soon in Walt Disney World! From holidays to races to festivals, there is so. much to look forward to. I thought it was a good time to break it all down and let you know what was coming for the last five months of 2024 in Walt Disney World so you can plan accordingly for your next trip! Let’s dive in and see what all we have to get excited about.

Halloween in Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom basically becomes fall/Halloween on August 1st. Mickey pumpkin wreaths and fall colors make it so pretty. It may not feel like fall because…Florida but it sure does look like it. From August 9 – October 31st in Magic Kingdom you can get a separate ticket for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! There are so many fun things at this party from characters to special food and merchandise and ride overlays. You can read more about the details on the party here!

EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
EPCOT will finally be home to a festival again August 29th – November 23rd and all will be right with the world! Hahaha! Food booths, scavenger hunts, concerts and so much more will be back in EPCOT. I won’t lie, this festival is my least festival of all of them in EPCOT. I do like it, it’s just not as colorful as the other festivals to me. BUT it does host my favorite concert of the year, Boys to Men! I torture my husband every year by making him go. Hahaha! You can read all the details so far on this years festival here.

Disney After Hours and H2O Glow Nights
Disney After Hours is a separately ticketed event that, this time is being held in Hollywood Studios on August 7th and 14th. Your ticket is good for the park from 9:30pm – 12:30am BUT you can get into the park as early as 7pm! There will be snacks and drinks and most of the attractions will be open with little to no wait times! Tickets range from $145-$155 per person.

H2O Glow Nights is a separately ticketed event that happen at Typhoon Lagoon on August 2nd, 10th and 17th and is similar to the After Hours in the park in that most attractions are open and there are snacks and drinks available. But, this one is really fun because they have a DJ and all the glow stuff and floaties and it feels like a big party! Ticket prices range from $75-$85 and I have heard it’s very much worth the price!

Holidays in Walt Disney World
There is so much to enjoy over the holiday season that starts in November in Disney World! Magic Kingdom is decorated so beautifully and eery park has their own giant Christmas tree themed to that specific park. Even the hotels are decorated for the holidays so make sure you do a little resort hopping while you are there! There are two parties to choose from, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom and Jollywood Nights in Hollywood Studios. These are so much fun and will definitely get you in the Christmas spirit! You can read all about these here.

You also have the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! This is a beautiful festival and it includes one of my most favorite things, the Candlelight Processional. This is such a wonderful show and you should absolutely make sure you see it if you are in EPCOT. There is no additional ticket required but if you want a guaranteed seat you need to book a dining package in advance. You can read about last years festival here! All I’m going to say here too is…..get the liner cookie, it’s delicious!

Conclusion
It’s always an exciting time in Disney World, there is always something on the horizon! But this time of year is especially exciting because the end of the year is packed with fun things! If you already have a trip planned between now and the end of the year make sure you plan to see or do some of these things and if you don’t have a trip planned yet….well….nows the time to book! Disney has some holiday room discounts right now so if you want to book a trip let me know and I can help you. I can’t wait for all of this to start and have some new decorations and things to do. As always, thank you for reading along and have magical day!
