This week Disney announced that VIPassholder Days in Disney World will be returning! This years dates are May 14th – July 31st. There will be discounts and other fun things available to all Annual Passholders. Nothing has been announced about exclusive treats for this year yet but we did have one last year so maybe there is more to come! Some discounts are better than others but we will take what we can get right? Let’s break it all down!

Dining Discounts
During the VIPassholder Days in Disney World, all passholders get an increase on their dining discounts. From May 14-July 31st we will be getting 40% off at select table service restaurants on food and non-alcoholic beverages. The discount is onnly good Monday through Thursday at select restaurants. The restaurants included in this discounts are different depending on the dates. Here is where your discount works when:
May 14-June 30:
- Hollywood & Vine in Hollywood Studios
- Tusker House in Animal Kingdom
- Toledo at Coronado Springs
- Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Port Orleans Riverside
- Cape May Cafe at Beach Club
July 1-31:
- The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom
- Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge
- Tiffins Restaurant in Animal Kingdom
- Coral Reef Restaurant in EPCOT
- Ale & Compass (Breakfast & Lunch Only) at Yacht Club

Passholder Lounge
Returning this year is the Passholder Lounge in EPCOT. During VIPassholder Days in Disney World the Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco pavilion of EPCOT will become a pass holder lounge available only to Annual Passholders. This lounge will be open everyday from 11am – 7pm through July 13th. Passholders can come to the lounge to get some AC, relax and get a free snack and water. There are charging stations in the lounge with tables and chairs to have a seat for a bit.
There will also be a unique PhotoPass opportunity, although they have not told us details on that yet. Last year we had the Genie from Aladdin to take pictures with so I am wondering if it will be a character or just a photo spot. They will also be giving out the pass holder buttons again. I am wondering if these will be the same ones or different this year. Hopefully at least a little different! The lounge is first come, first serve so you may have to wait in line but if you aren’t trying to get in the first few days or the last few days you probably won’t have to wait too long.

Merchandise Discount
I’ll be honest, this one bothers me a bit. Passholders will receive a 20% discount on DisneyStore.com. This seems a little stingy to me, why not let us have the discount in the parks? You have to make sure that your pass is linked in your My Disney Experience account and then the discount will automatically come off when you log in and check out on the Disney Store site. I guess this is good for out of town passholders that may not make it to the parks during this time. But it seems like they could do both for us, just saying.

Conclusion
While I am excited for VIPassholder Days in Disney World, I was hoping they would do a little more this year. Given that it’s right at the time that Epic Universe is opening, I thought they would do it up to get us passholders excited and in the park. I was excited to see the dining discounts but even that seems a little lacking. You can tell it is for restaurants they are needing reservations to get a boost for and locations they are trying to draw people too. Which makes sense of course but throwing in some of the more popular places would have been nice. Either way, I am thankful for the discounts as a passholder and I do enjoy the lounge. Maybe we will get some extra announcements as the time gets closer or during the timeframe, who knows! If you are a pass holder, I hope you get to come enjoy VIPassholder Days in Disney World this year and I hope you have a magical day!
