This week a new villains show opened in Hollywood Studios! So this week you are getting my Villains Unfairly Ever After review of the new show. This show took the place of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at the Sunset Showcase theater. The show is all about the Magic Mirror and all the villains asking him who is the most misunderstood of all. It is a super fun show that runs just about all day. This is a don’t miss and I think the pictures will show you why!

Unfairly Ever After Plot
I don’t want to spoil the whole show for you in case you get to go see it soon but I’ll give you a little peek! Villains Unfairly Ever After starts out with the Magic Mirror telling us how all the villains trapped in the mirror are always asking him who is the most misunderstood villain of them all. But the Magic Mirror is enchanted to only answer to the Evil Queen. When the villains get too loud, the Evil Queen smashes the mirrors! The villains are trapped in the mirrors but somehow three make their way out of the mirror to try and convince us they are the most misunderstood of all. The show can have a different ending each time, but I’ll let you wait and see how it ends up for you!

Cruella Deville
Our first villain through the glass is Cruella and she is fabulous! She gives us a spectacular performance complete with multiple costume changes that were seamless. Villains Unfairly Ever After has brilliantly cast Cruella! She is perfectly crazy and spastic and everything you would want to see in Cruella.

Captain Hook
I do believe Captain Hook is my favorite in Villains Unfairly ever After! He is hilarious and just like you would expect a live action Captain Hook to be. We even get to see the Tick Tock Croc chase him around a little bit. Captain Hook is smarmy and cracked and perfect!

Maleficent
Finally, Villains Unfairly Ever After gives us the Mistress of Evil herself, Maleficent! She is, of course, magnificent and even her entrance is spectacular. She flies in as a dragon and even conjures a portal in the middle of the stage! Maleficents costuming and movements are perfection. Honestly, every one of these villains are wonderfully cast!

Villains Unfairly Ever After Supporting Villains
As I mentioned, Villains Unfairly Ever After is about ALL the villains trapped in the mirror. There are literally ALL the villains in this show. You get a closer look at Hades and Jafar as they try to break through the mirror unsuccessfully but there are even more than that. In all the different mirrors you see Gaston, Rolo, Yzma, Scar and just about any other villain you can think of. The one that made me so happy was Mad Madame Mim! She is often forgotten and I was so so surprised to see her featured pretty prominently in the show. In the end we get an appearance from the Evil Queen who throws a bit of a fit!

Villains Unfairly Ever After Set
The set for Villains Unfairly Ever After is amazing! The stage, mirrors and projections are visually so stunning. Even before the show starts the stage and set will captivate you. They use the mirrors and sets so well during the show, it’s a lot of projection and screens but it doesn’t feel like it when you’re watching the show. If you ever saw Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy you might remember the benches. Well those are now gone and we have nice comfy theater seats!

Conclusion
This show is such a welcome addition to Hollywood Studios to me! We all love the villains and this is such a unique show in my opinion. My husband liked it but felt like it was little projection heavy and he would have liked to see more live actors. I don’t disagree that more live actors would be good but I think it’s a different show than Beauty and the Beast that is all live actors or the Muppets that is all screen or the new Little Mermaid show that has puppetry. It’s nice to have a variety of shows in the park and ultimately that is what Hollywood Studios should be to me! I hope you get to go see this new show soon, it is really fun. If you want to check out my review for the new Little Mermaid show you can do that here. Thank you for reading along and have a magical day!
