If you are a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder it is your time to shine! V.I.Passholder Days started yesterday, May 1st and go through June 26th. There are lots of fun things like special PhotoPass pictures, dessert and a Passholder Lounge. We went over to EPCOT yesterday to check it all out and report back to you today. So let’s get started!

Passholder PhotoPass
In the World Celebration Gardens there is a special PhotoPass opportunity for Passholders that is so cute! Right now you can get your picture taken with a giant Mickey Ice Cream Bar that says Annual Passholder on the stick. Just show your WDW Annual Pass to the photographer and you will get some great shots with Spaceship Earth in the background. The Mickey Bar prop will be available until the end of May and then in June the prop will be changed to a Mickey Donut prop!

New Passholder Magnet
At the Creations Shop you can pick up the new Stitch Passholder magnet. It is so stinking cute! Be prepared with a scalable Annual Pass (Magicband, Magic Mobile or physical card) and your ID. You will have to get in line and full disclosure we did not grab ours yesterday because the line was soooooo long the whole time we were there. I just grabbed my picture and decided I would try again another day.

Stitch Passholder Dessert
Over at Sunshine Season in the Land Pavilion you can pick up the Passholder exclusive dessert! This is absolutely adorable honestly. It is called the Stitch Cake Cone and it is $6.49. Made with vanilla chiffon cake with coconut buttercream and passion fruit crisp pearls. I thought this was pretty tasty, it is covered in shredded coconut too. It tasted very tropical and the cake was good but the cone tasted kind of stale. That could be because there is cake all the way down into the cone. Thatcher liked it too but Sawyer was not a fan, he thought it tasted “weird”. If you like tropical, sweet desserts you will like this but if you hate coconut aren’t really a dessert person this may not be for you.

Passholder Lounge
Back in the Morocco Pavilion inside Restaurant Marrakesh there is a Passholder Lounge that is open from 12-8pm, May 1st-June 26th. In here you will find peanuts and Chex mix, water and Moroccan Mint Tea that you can have as much as you want. There are charging stations and tables set up and new this year there are character meet and greets! While we were in there they had the Genie from Aladdin meeting guests. So cool! You are also given an Annual Passholder button pin when you check into the lounge. Again, make sure you have a scannable Annual Pass and your ID! We did have to wait in line to go in last night but I have a feeling that as time goes on it will not be that way, but keep in mind that this is closing .

Discounts
Different from last year and probably not going to be a fan favorite is that the 20% discount is only for online purchases from DisneyStore.com and not available in the parks. Last year we were able to use the discount in the parks as well so that’s not really a great change but I guess you can order a lot of things online too.

Conclusion
This is one of those little things where I am reminded how lucky I am to live here. I dreamed for a long time about being close enough to go when there were special events like this and now I can. It doesn’t feel real sometimes. And honestly this is really not that big of a deal, I would never have planned a vacation around it but it’s nice to be able to do it now. I feel like the offerings are fun and cute and of course we were excited about Stitch getting some love, but I do wish they were honoring the discount in the parks like last year. Seems like us Passholders spend enough money in the parks all year to get a little extra something once a year. I am not even complaining for myself, I just know a lot of people plan on that discount to get things they have been eyeing in the parks. Overall though I love it all and I am so excited to see what other characters they have in the Lounge later this summer!
Thank you all for reading along, I love thinking about what I am going to share with you all from one week to the next. I hope it makes you feel like you’re here or starts to push you over the edge to moving here! Hahaha! Either way, thank you for letting me share with you. Have a magical day!
PS…This guy asked to be in my picture with the dessert and said, I promise I’ll make it a great picture. Then told me I better post it and what was social media. I explained I write a Disney blog and told him to take a look on Thursday because I would add his random picture to this weeks post sooooo, here ya go!
