Let’s start out by defining what Plant Based eating actually is! Plant Based doesn’t necessarily equal Vegan, although a lot of times it does. For the purposes of this article it will equal vegan as all fo the plant based options in Disney World are vegan dishes. But for me and my family, eating plant based is not vegan, we just eat mostly plants and a little bit of animal protein. Thankfully, Disney World has Plant Based options pretty much everywhere! And bonus, they are all delicious! They are very easy to identify too, Disney puts a little green leaf next to these dishes on their menus! If you are looking for Plant Based options while on vacation in Disney World, I hope today’s post helps you find the best ones on property.

Magic Kingdom
I will say that this is the park where I feel like the options are the most limited. But that being said, there are some good things. My favorites are definitely the Dole Whip (all the fruit flavors are vegan) and the options at Skipper Canteen. Most of the options are at table service locations so we will look at those first:

EPCOT
Personally, I feel like this park does all food the best but Plant Based especially!!! The restaurants all have great options but the festival food booths are usually the real winners here. I think just the variety in types of cuisine alone in this park makes it the clear winner! I am only going to do the permanent table and quick service locations but you should always check the festival menus, especially Flower and Garden! Flower and garden has a whole Garden Graze that is totally Plant Based and usually full of amazing things.

Hollywood Studios
There are some really great options here too and I feel like they add things to this park pretty regularly which is nice! Compared to EPCOT there are far less dining options but there are still plant based options at most of them.

Disney Springs and Resorts
On top of all the amazing options in the parks, Disney Springs and all the resort dining also have great Plant Based dining! You can find Dole Whip in Disney Springs at Swirls on the Water and at the Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian Resort. Disney Springs even has an entirely Vegan and Gluten Free bakery, Erin Mckenna’s is located by the Boathouse and everything they have is DELICIOUS! We love going in and grabbing some treats to take home.

Conclusion
Eating plant based can be difficult when you are traveling, you sometimes feel like all there is to eat are salads. Don’t get me wrong I love a good salad but I don’t want to eat them three times a day everyday! Hahaha! It’s nice to have options on all these menus, a options that are really tasty. Some are better than others of course but honestly, I haven’t had anything I really didn’t like. Even if you are not plant base, I encourage you to try some of these dishes if your looking for a healthy option. No matter how you eat, you really can find good options in Disney World. Whether it’s food allergies or just by choice, you can always check the menu and ask a Cast member who will be happy to help you find something.
I am a much more adventurous eater now than I ever was as a kid and will try just about anything. Luckily, everything I’ve tried here has been good! as always, thank you all for being here and reading along, I hope this helps you if you are looking for plant based food in Walt Disney World. You can see full menu items via Disney here. Have a magical day!
