Disney Springs is about to debut a new nighttime drone show called Dreams The Soar and I got to go to the Cast Member preview yesterday to check it out! There are so many fun characters in this show and I am so excited that Disney Springs is getting a nighttime show. This was my first time attending a Cast Member preview and since this is totally new for Disney World, I thought I would share the experience and a little sneak peek of the show!

When Can You See It?
Dreams That Soar will debut this Friday May 24th and run through September 2nd with two showtimes. You can catch the show at either 9pm or 10:45pm. I am hoping they make this a permanent thing and maybe switch out the shows seasonally. Each show is 10 minutes long but it really felt like a much. longer fuller show in the best way!

Where Can You Watch It?
The best viewing spot is on the Westside waterfront. This is the walkway that runs from the hot air balloon down to behind House of Blues. You may be able to see it from some of the patio’s and decks of the restaurants in the Landing like Boathouse and Paddlefish but that depends on how high the drones actually are and how obstructed the view is by the big balloon. I suppose we will find out this weekend!

Cast Preview
As I said, this was my first time experiencing a Cast Preview. I am what is called an Operating Participant and not a full fledged Disney Cast Member. This just means that I work for a company that partners with Disney instead of directly for Disney. Because of that I am not usually able to attend Cast Member previews but because this one was for Disney Springs where Corkcicle is located it was open to operating participants too!

We received a link to register for the event with details and let me tell you….It. Was. EARLY! The preview started at 5:30am and the details said we were to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to that. There are few things I will get up that early in the morning for and Disney stuff is one of them! Haha! I was happy to see so many other crazy people out there with me though and they were all just as excited as I was to see this new show. What was very neat and kind of special was that at at the end of the show they did a special ending with the drones of the Disney Cast Life logo and a special thank you to us all for being there.

How Was The Show
The show truly is very well done! I enjoyed the music and the fact that there are so many somewhat obscure characters represented made my Disney nerd heart very happy. There were Characters from Treasure Planet, Duck Tales, the Rocketeer and Orange Bird even made an appearance. I’m gonna show some real big nerd vibes here but seeing an actual Death Star in the sky and the fact that the Guardians of the Galaxy section was a dance party set to Zardu Hasselfrau really did it for me! Hahaha! The precision of this show was really something, I feel like this may be a warm up for something on a larger scale later on in the one of the parks. But I suppose we will have to wait and see on that.

Conclusion
Obviously I loved being able to be a part of this and get a first look at something new coming to Disney World. Although getting up that early was a little painful it was worth it. It’s little things like this that make me extra thankful for our little life here in Mickey’s backyard. I truly think this is going to be a great addition to Disney Springs that lots of people will enjoy.
As always, thank you for being here and reading along. I hope you are excited for this new addition and get a chance to see it before it ends in September. If you want to see the full show now you can check it out on my YouTube below! That’s it for this week, have a magical day!
