Journey of Water Review!

Two weeks ago I got to attend the first day of the Passholder Previews for the new Journey of Water attraction in Epcot. This attraction is inspired by Moana and is AMAZING! The amount of details in this walk through water play area is incredible. This attraction opens to the public on October 16th and I can’t wait to be able to go again really take my time enjoying all the things these Imagineers included! It was very crowded but still really fun and easily enjoyed for the Passholder Preview! I thought this week I would share all my pictures and experience with you!

What Is This Attraction

This is a walk through water attraction with all kinds of interactive activities! There are so many fun details to find and I would imagine this will be one of those attractions you find something new in every time you go. When it is not as crowded as it was when we went, you will be able to walk through at your own pace and “play or control water” throughout the attraction. Fair warning, your kids are going to get wet! You can avoid that if you don’t want to get wet but for the kiddos running around I’m sure they will be wet when they leave.

The Natural Water Cycle

What I really love about attractions like this are that they are educational without you even realizing you are learning! Journey of Water is separated into sections that describe the natural water cycle. There are signs in each section that describe and tell about that particular part of the water cycle.

The different sections are Rain, Stream, Wetland, Spring, Land, Lake, River, Ocean and Sky and each section has a different way for you to interact with the water. There is a section where you can make the water jump from one spot to another, one where you touch the water and make music, sections where you can make the water go lower or higher with your hands and even a place where you can make waves! It was very fun to play and control the water.

Photo Ops

You know Disney has great spots for photos in here too! The best is, of course the photo spot with Te Fiti! It’s perfectly placed with Spaceship Earth just off to the right and the lighting at night is gorgeous! There are also little coves throughout the attraction and rock carvings of all different things from Moana. You can even find Tamatoa towards the end of your Journey, looking shiny of course!

Conclusion

This week is kind of a short post but this attraction is so worth it’s own post! It will be an incredible place for kids and families to cool off, get some shade and to not have to be stagnant in a line. It is so immersive and beautiful, I really think it will be a fan favorite for sure! I, personally can’t wait to go back and take the kiddos and just let them run and play! I hope you get to experience this attraction yourself, if so, make sure you allow yourself time to really go slow and see everything, there is so much to see! Kiddos to the Imagineers that worked on this attraction, they really out did themselves!

As always, I thank you so much for reading along and hope you enjoyed todays post and all the pictures! Go check out social media later today to see more pictures and videos of Journey of Water! I hope you all have a magical day!
