Indiana Jones Bar In Hollywood Studios!

Did you know that there is a pop up Indiana Jones bar in Hollywood Studios right now?! Well there is!! It’s called the Den of Destiny and has popped up ahead of the new movie Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. We had a chance to go over and check it out and although it is just a small pop up bar it’s pretty cool!! You can only check this little gem out until August 15th between 10am-8pm so make sure you get to Hollywood Studios before then. If you can’t, heres what you can find and some pictures from our visit.

Dial of Destiny Artifacts

One of the coolest things about this pop up is that you can find a bunch of the movie props from the new movie. They all had placards telling you what they were, there were concept art pictures on the walls and of course Disney made sure all the decorative details were perfect! You can even see the Dial of Destiny and take a picture with it! They had everything from Indy’s whip and hat to full costumes and more. There were big set pieces as well and like I said just so much fun detail as you looked around.

Photo Op

No good Disney pop up is complete without a cool photo op right?! This is no exception! There is a really cool Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny backdrop with the Dial of Destiny in front for you to take pictures with. I thought this one was especially cool just because of the way it was set up and I love the look of an old map.

Merchandise

And no good Disney pop up or event is complete without merchandise too! While you cannot buy any merchandise in the actual bar, you can see some of the new Indiana Jones merch on display! Everything from T-Shirts to prop replicas can be yours for a price. You can find all these things to actually buy at most of the gift shops in Hollywood Studios and a lot of it is really cool!

The Drinks

You can’t have a bar without some drinks! This is a small pop up bar so the cocktails are pre mixed and there are only a few but the one we had was fantastic! For a mocktail option they have the L’Antique Green Tea for $6.25, this is Pomegranate Green Tea, Blood Orange, Lemon Juice and Agave Nectar. For your cocktail options you have the Adventuress Margarita for $13.50 that is made with Corazon Blanco Tequila, Passion Fruit Papaya Green Tea, Cucumber, Lime Juice and Agave Nectar and the cocktail we had was the Weathered Fedora for $14.40 made with Old Forester Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Sweet Vermouth, Vanilla, Hella Cocktail Company Ginger Bitters, Star Anise, Cinnamon and Nutmeg served over an Ice Sphere (think the big boulder that runs Indy over in Raiders of the Lost Ark).

They also have the Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat Ale and the Cigar City Jai Alai IPA beers for $10.25. We LOVED the Weathered Fedora! The ginger bitters with that cinnamon and nutmeg really gave it a great flavor and kick. We also really love bourbon so if you’re not a bourbon drinker you may not like this one but it was more on the sweet side. We really enjoyed it wished we could take the ice sphere home! Hahaha

Outside the Bar

So as I said this is a small pop up bar so you get your drink and then you go outside where they have high top tables set up. This area was super simple but honestly I really liked it. It was understated and very Indiana Jones to me! I loved the destination posters on the walls and the music playing. There were even more bigger props outside too. We walked around and took pictures with all the Jeeps and props and enjoyed our drinks, we got lucky because the weather was perfect at the time we went!

Where is the Den of Destiny

Where this little bar and museum of sorts is also made me happy! It’s located across from Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream, next to 50’s Prime Time Diner and of course by Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. It makes me happy that it’s here because it’s in what used to be the Indiana Jones store. I always loved going in this store as a kid being a huge Indiana Jones fan so it was nice to be back in there. The store has been closed for a while now and I had hoped they would do something with it soon.

Conclusion

Needless to say, I loved this little gem and will be going back! Indiana Jones is one of my all time favorite movie franchises and don’t get me started on Harrison Ford…..man ages like a fine wine and is still just as beautiful as he was int he first movie! I loved my drink and all the little details, touches and of course the props found in the and out of the space. And it just made me so happy to be back in this building, I know that sounds silly because it was just a gift shop and I don’t know that I ever even bought anything out of it but I always loved going in this shop. I truly hope that this new movie brings a new audience of fans to the Indiana Jones franchise and that that equals more permanent things like this in the parks and that the stun spectacular never goes away!

As always, I am so glad you’re all here and appreciate you reading along. I hope you enjoyed seeing all the pictures from our visit and that you get a chance to visit the Den of Destiny before it closes on august 15th! Have the most magical day!
