Chilling in the Haunted Mansion apartment

Living Room

Our tour begins here in the living room. The lighting is low and moody with different settings to set the mood. And the lamps come complete with cobwebs! The living room has beautiful vintage victorian furniture. The aging portrait over a faux fireplace and lenticular prints of the hallway paintings that change as you move through the room decorate the walls.

Conservatory at the Ghoulish Sanctuary

Conservatory

Yes, the Ghoulish Sanctuary even has the Conservatory! Just through the sliding glass doors on the patio you will find the iconic black coffin and petrified flowers. This is such a cool little spot to sit and have a cup of coffee, with mood lighting and fun details.

Attic room in the haunted mansion apartment

Attic Bedroom

No Haunted Mansion apartment would be complete without the attic scene with a touch of murderous bride! This is the main bedroom at the Ghoulish Sanctuary. You truly feel like you are walking right into Constance Hatchaways attic. A spooky wedding dress glowing, lenticular pictures or Constance with all her husbands and even the wedding banner hanging on the wall. There is even a crow that comes to life randomly during your stay!

Main bathroom in the Haunted Mansion apartment

The main bathroom attached to this bedroom is where you will find the iconic Haunted Mansion wallpaper watching you! I’m just saying, I would be so happy getting ready for a park day in this bathroom. I have always said I would love to have a Haunted Mansion bathroom at my house and this one is perfect!

Dining room at the Ghoulish Sanctuary

Dining Room

The dining room in the Ghoulish Sanctuary is amazing! The dueling paintings are on the wall and the table is set for a swinging wake! I can totally picture having a fun dinner party at this beautifully set table. Apparently there was a bachelorette party staying at the Haunted Mansion apartment prior to me visiting and I can just picture the coolest dinner in the dining room!! What would you have on the menu?

Stretching room kitchen in the Haunted Mansion apartment

The Kitchen or Stretching Room

The kitchen in this Haunted Mansion apartment is themed to the stretching room. All four portraits are on the wall and the wallpaper is that same striped design we see in the real Haunted Mansion. While being beautifully themed this is still a fully functional and decent sized kitchen. Somehow they have even kept the lighting moody and on theme here too!

Hatbox ghost bedroom writing nook at the Ghoulish Sanctuary

Hatbox Ghost’s Bedroom

The second bedroom is meant to be the Hatbox Ghost’s bedroom. With gorgeous stenciling on the walls, victorian furniture and finishes and a writing nook, this room is beautiful! As I said before, the details just really set this whole place off. The writing nook has a vintage desk and chair that made me want to sit down and write a letter to regions beyond.

Master Gracey's chamber at the Ghoulish Sanctuary

Master Gracey’s Bedroom

You can’t have a Haunted Mansion apartment without a space for Master Gracey! The last bedroom is dark and moody with grand furnishing fit for the master of the manor. There is also a nook in this room with a large dresser and mirror. The photos on the wall are the same ones we see as we go down the hallway of doors in our doom buggy’s on the ride.

Second bathroom at the ghoulish Sanctuary

The last bathroom just off Mast Gracey and the Hatbox Ghost’s rooms is simple and moody. Keeping on theme with beautifully painted and covered walls, this bathroom has a burgundy and textured green color. You will find the plans for the Haunted Mansion hanging on the wall and a beautifully ornate faucet on the sink.

Attic Scene Special Effects at the Ghoulish Sanctuary

Special Effects in the Haunted Mansion Apartment

The Ghoulish Sanctuary isn’t just an incredibly decorated Haunted Mansion apartment, it’s also an experience! There are programmed special effects set to go off throughout your stay. There is a welcome effect programmed to happen at your arrival time. You guessed it, Welcome Foolish Mortals is your greeting! All of the effects that play are the actual audio from the Haunted Mansion. This definitely adds to feeling of really staying in the Haunted Mansion.

Having a drink in the dining room of the Haunted Mansion apartment

Throughout your stay different effects are programmed to occur randomly. The lights will turn red, you hear a heartbeat and the bride in the attic begins to speak, or the crow in the corner of the attic starts to move. Madame Leota may start having a seance during your stay, the stretching room may start telling you it’s story and all while the lighting in every room reacts to what audio is playing. When it’s time to depart the Ghoulish Sanctuary there is a farewell effect asking you to “hurry back” that plays. Don’t forget to sign the guest book and take your postcard from your ghost hosts!
