So what is there to do for Easter in Disney World?! A LOT!! Today I’m going to write all about how we celebrated at the Wilderness Lodge but Disney had special Easter festivities all over the place! They had Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny doing meet and greets in Magic Kingdom, the Easter Parade in Magic Kingdom and even offered Easter church services at the Contemporary resort! We decided to head over to the Wilderness Lodge and partake in all the things they had going on, Here’s what we did!

Family Picture Time!
Of course I made everyone where their Easter best and get a nice photo (or 6) once we got to the resort. The nice thing about Disney is that there is always someone who will stop and take a picture for you!

Winnie The Pooh Scavenger Hunt
We started out by grabbing a Winnie The Pooh Scavenger Hunt sheet from Bell Services in the lobby! This was so fun because it sent you all over the resort hunting for big Easter eggs with Hundred Acre Wood friends with clues as to where they were and who it may be. The boys had the best time with this! It sent us everywhere from the boat launch and bus stops to the gym and restaurants. We even helped some others out who thought the Heffalump Easter egg was dumbo! Hahahahaha!
Once we completed the scavenger hunt, the boys took them back up to the registration desk to get their prize. They had little Easter stress balls and Easter and Wilderness Lodge stickers for them that were super cute.

Did Someone Say Candy?!
Instead of a traditional Easter egg hunt, Wilderness Lodge had a massive candy grab over at the lawn by Reunion Station. I have never seen so much candy! They had a mountain in the middle that was a giant Mickey head and then more scattered all over the place. They handed out bags to the kids that didn’t bring their own bag or basket and I think they would have given you a hundred of them! The boys both filled two bags up and they were trying to give them another bag…..mama said NO! Hahaha!
This went on for 2 whole hours, to give lots of kids a chance to come by and get candy. They just kept pouring more candy out, the Easter Bunny must have just dropped EVERYTHING off at Disney!

Rain Rain Go Away!
It had started to rain at this point and we were all pretty soaked from being outside grabbing all the candy! You’re already wet so why not just go to the pool right?! They had all kinds of fun games going on at the pool in the afternoon. They had Easter themed bingo and trivia with prizes for the kids. They also had a paid Christopher Robin craft in the pool area, we didn’t do this one but it looked cute!

Free Crafts In The Lobby
They had some free arts and crafts stuff in the lobby as well for everyone! I tried to get the boys to do this one but our dry clothes were wet from the rain and they were chilly and ready to go home and be dry! If you know me, you know I really tried to stay all day regardless of what they wanted to do! Hahahaha….but I did give in since we were all wet and it was windy and chilly.

Conclusion
It was a great first Easter in Florida! We love the Wilderness Lodge and had so much fun exploring the resort hunting for eggs and grabbing candy. There were even big wooden Easter eggs all over the resort grounds that made for cute pictures! They had a movie outside later that night and campfires with s’mores that I would have totally stayed for but we were very soggy and chilly!
It’s really cool how many things there are to do that don’t cost anything on holidays and special occasions down here. I know the other resorts had things going on as well and I’m sure next year we will try out a different one. If you are here over Spring Break and that coordinates with Easter you definitely won’t feel like you ,missed out on the festivities! It will make for a great resort day during your trip. As always I thank you all so much for being here this week and reading along. Y’all truly are the best! If you are not subscribed to the blog already, I would love for you to do that and you the new blogs will get sent straight to your email every Thursday!! Have the most magical day everybody!
