Last Friday we had the first ever Disney Chicks meet up in Disney World and it was amazing! As an adult, we all know it is hard to make friends. Maybe you make friends with your kids friends parents, maybe you make friends at work but it is very hard to find people with similar interests. This night was a night of meeting some great ladies who all love Disney and don’t take themselves too seriously, those are my kind of ladies! So I thought I would share what it was all about and how it went this week! Coincidentally, I didn’t pick the nest date for this! This Friday was the start of 4 new food booths for Food and Wine, Disney 100 celebration started with popcorn buckets and character meets, annual pass holder magnets were being handed out and then some! EPCOT was the craziest I had seen it in a long time!

How Did This Start?
I have seen lots of different meet ups in Disney World before and always thought it would be cool to be a part of one. I had thought for a long time about planning a meet up to meet some new friends but figured no one would be interested in coming to a meet up I planned. But I decided, after asking another Disney Chick I had met on Instagram, to go ahead and plan one! I posted on social media about the Disney Chick meet up and that all Disney Chicks were invited and even sent some private invitations out to a few people. I was very excited and shocked at the response I got and how many people wanted to come!

Group Chat
I started a group chat on Instagram with everyone who was interested in coming and even some that couldn’t come but wish they could. The cool thing about this was that everyone invited more people to the chat and we all introduced ourselves and shared little parts of our stories with one another before the actual meet up even happened! It was really nice to connect with these ladies and share a little piece of ourselves with one another. We are still chatting in there now!

Where Did We Meet Up?
The meet up plan was to meet by Spaceship Earth in EPCOT to take some pictures and officially meet. From there we hung around EPCOT for a bit, some of us rode Guardians of the Galaxy and some rode Spaceship Earth. We walked around World Showcase grabbing food and drinks then went over to the Boardwalk! We had some drinks and ended up at Atlantic Dance Hall where we danced and made a silly reel! This was my first time at Atlantic Dance Hall and it was wonderfully awful. Hahaha! Think about the best 90’s/2000’s club you ever went to and that’s about it! They played ok music with weird mixes behind them and have a mediocre bar but it didn’t matter! we sang and danced and all found something to drink and just had the best time! There was even an old couple in there that shut the place down on the dance floor, story is they are former or current cast members and are there every weekend….I want to be them when I grow up! What was especially nice about all of this was that none of us had an agenda, we all just enjoyed each others company but also did our own thing. We all got to chat with each other at different posts of time throughout the night and just had fun together!

Who Came?
As I said before, I really didn’t think anyone would want to come to this. I mean, who besides me wants to meet up with a bunch of strangers in Disney World?! But to my surprise, a lot of people did! We had local ladies, close but not local ladies and even some from Rhode Island and Chicago! If you want some really great Disney Chicks to follow on Instagram, we had a great line up! A lot of them have great YouTube channels as well! Here are there handles so you can go find them:
- @itsthatdisneygirl
- @emmaenchanted999
- @kerrysohanalife
- @theorlandodinks
- @hermagicaladventure
- @a_hufflepuff_in_disney
- @spiritdaysarah
- @adventures_with_flowers
- @magicalmolly101
All of these ladies are fantastic and made this night one I will never forget! They are all tagged our reel from that night and will be on the post about this weeks blog as well so make sure you follow them and go subscribe to their YouTube channels as well!

Whats Next?
Well the cool thing is that everyone wants to do it again and there are lots that couldn’t come this time that want us to do it again so they can come! Some of these ladies made a weekend of it and met up the next day as well which is amazing! We are planning to do it again for Dapper Day in Hollywood Studios in December. If you are interested in coming, stay tuned to my Instagram because that’s where I’ll post all the details and you can join us, the more the merrier. Next time we are including husbands and just Disney Dudes in general. Dapper Day and Skyliner crawl anyone?!

Conclusion
Needless to say, this was an incredible night that left me feeling so happy! It was just nice to meet up with a group of people who have the same interests, no judgment and just want to have a good time. we ate, drank, danced and got to know each other and it was magical. Now we all have a group of cheerleaders behind us, near and far! I am so thankful that these ladies showed up and supported this the way they did and that they want to do it again. I honestly cannot wait and am so glad I can see them on Instagram in the meantime. Get yourself a group of crazy Disney adults, they are the best! And come join us for the next meet up, there’s always room for one more!
As always, I thank you all so much for being here and reading along. This one came easy as I was so excited to share the night with you all and extend an open invitation to you. Thank you for reading and have a magical day!
