Disney announced this week that V.I.Passholder Days will be returning this summer at Walt Disney World! This is the largest annual passholder offering each year. While there are still more announcements to come, we got a few details this week. This year's promotion runs from May 1st - July 31st, let's dive into what is being offered! V.I.Passholder Days Dining Discounts The V.I.Passholder Days dining discounts are probably my favorite part of this promotion. For me, it accomplishes exactly what they are trying to do, get you to other restaurants. Last year we went to three places we had never been because of this discount. So good job Disney marketing team, you win! There are two tiers of discounts this year, 20% and 40%. I like this better than the way they did it last year. Last year there were different restaurants for different date ranges and it got a little confusing. We ended up paying full price when we thought we were getting a discount because our reservation was two days after that restaurants date range. Oh well! But we do know we are getting a new Toy Story magnet with Buzz and Woody! We also know pass holders can get 40% off select Disney Resort stays from May 1st - July 29th. Sounds like I need to book a staycation! Haha! Disney has teased new pass holder exclusive merchandise, food and beverage items and special discounts. Last year our pass holder discount for merchandise increased from 20% to 30% during pass holder days but only online. I am hoping they do it in store as well this year. They have not announced a pass holder lounge yet but we did have that last year so I am sure that will return as well. I loved the photo ops in the lounge last year. Conclusion I love that Disney World does V.I.Passholder Days every year. Let's be honest, us pass holders give the mouse a lot of money so it's nice to get a little extra perk! But of course the extra perk makes us spend more money, it's a vicious cycle. But they know their audience right? I am excited to see if they change things up a bit with the pass holder lounge and would love some special food and drinks. Honestly hoping for that extra shopping discount to be in store and not just online! If you are a pass holder, I hope you are able to take advantage of these extra discounts.
